After spending a considerable time on the distributor side of the liquor and wine business, Gene thought he would try the retailing portion of this great business. That was 20 years ago and he never looked back. The total of all those years has provided Gene with an extensive knowledge of the wine industry. He considers himself a person who enjoys wine from various regions and will always be able to match something for your taste or for that special dinner party.
Joe came to the store as a manager in 2016 after years of wine and liquor Sales Representative experience. In expanding his wine knowledge, Joe has completed training courses in the industry, recently successfully completing his Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 2 Certification. When it comes to wines, Joe tends to gravitate to California reds and whites. On the Spirit side; Joe enjoys Bourbons, Vodkas, Rums and Single Malt Scotches.
Joining GCP in 2014, Braden previously worked for the Pascale’s Group in Syracuse for over ten years, where he attended various wine and spirit classes as well as two educational trips to wineries in California. He enjoys reds from Spain and the Rhone region of France, as well as whites from New Zealand and Ports for dessert.
Peggy has been with GCP since 1998. Her passion for New York wines led her to her current role as the New York State Wine Manager for which she has worked for the last 17 years. Peggy has extensive knowledge of wine and has visited many of the wineries throughout the Finger Lakes Wine Region. Some her favorites include Dry Rieslings, Gruner Veltliners and Dry Rosẻ.
Justin began at GCP in the summer of 2000. He has spent the last 17 years gaining a wide knowledge of wines and spirits with a special interest in Tequila and wines from the Finger Lakes region. He enjoys Silver Tequilas, crisp white wines, and light dry red wines, especially Pinot Noirs.
Zach has been with GCP Discount Liquors and Wines since 2010 and has been cultivating his experience and wine knowledge as a Sales Associate as well as continuing his education in both Wine and Spirits. He enjoys robust Cabernets, hearty red Zinfandels, crisp Sauvignon Blancs, Bourbon, Vodka, and Scotch.
