The Show Malbec is a delicious wine with avors of blackberry, cranberry, white pepper and spice, with toasty vanilla and violets. The wine has smooth tannins, a velvety texture and a long, lingering finish. This Malbec comes from two very special regions within Mendoza, Argentina. 85% of the wine comes from the acclaimed Lujan de Cuyo sub-region from a vineyard called “El Alto”, which is 3,000 feet above sea level. This region brings dark fruit character and broad ripe tannins to The Show Malbec. The other 15% of the Malbec comes from the Uco Valley, which is south of Lujan de Cuyo, yet closer to the Andes Mountains and at an even higher altitude. This region adds Malbec with more acidity and complexity. The Show Malbec was aged for 9 months in 25% new French oak.

Cantina di Montalcino Poggio del Sasso Sangiovese is ruby-red in color with perfumes of cherries and fresh red fruit and floral notes, such as violet. The wine is lively and fresh in the mouth, with soft, rounded tannins. Good intensity, attractive structure and fine, long length. This Sangiovese is under $10 and a great new addition to our Italian section.
Monsieur Touton White Bordeaux is smoky, herbal, and friendly, it shows excellent fruit. This Bordeaux Blanc made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc is imported by Touton Selection. Orin Swift The Prisoner Great color, deep, dark garnet with a clean and bright red band in the rim. The aromas take a minute to come up, and then they take off into a blend of ripe berry and cherry with just a hint of new oak. The wine is aged in both new and seasoned French and American oak. The front of the wine is soft and almost immediately begins evolving into the broad mid-palate. The mid has weight, length, and structure. The acids were great in 2008 and provide an essential rounding effect to the "big fruit" inherent in the wine. The finish is long and filled with ripe, soft tannins. 46% Zinfandel, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, 10% Petite Sirah, 2% Charbono, 1% Grenache. Wine Spectator Rated 92 Points! Sledgehammer Zinfandel has intense aromas of blackberry, black pepper, toasted oak and a hint of brown spice. Notice flavors of raspberry and blackberry with vanilla and toasted oak from aging in small barrels. Berries, brown spice and oak complexity continue in a long finish.
