Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon 2000
Score: 95 Wine Enthusiast; 94 Wine Advocate; 94 Wine & Spirits
Fresh, crystalline, and sharp, the first nose unveils an unusual dimension, an aquatic vegetal world with secret touches of white pepper and gardenia. The wine then reveals airy, gentle richness before exhaling peaty scents. On the palate, the attack bursts forth, and matures into a sensual fullness that winds around itself, like a tendril of foliage. Notes of aniseed and dried ginger linger on the skin of fruit (pear and mango), more textured than ripe. The finish gradually unfurls and then settles, smooth, mellow, all-encompassing.
Score: 95 Wine Spectator
Beautiful aromas of honeysuckle, violets, citrus and berries, plus hints of fresh herbs. Full-bodied and chewy, with refined tannins and a long finish. Lasts for minutes on the palate. An elegant, yet powerful and fruity style of young Taylor. Best after 2012. 14,000 cases made. Veuve Clicquot Brut Champagne NV

You can't lose with this classy champagne. The refined apple, grapefruit and dough aromas follow through on the palate. Creamy and lively on the finish.

Score: 88 Wine Spectator
Rich in texture, with lavishly spicy, oak-tinged blackberry and anise flavors, which manage to peek through a layer of chewy tannin on the finish. Has plenty of oomph, but it needs time to prove what it has. Best after 2004. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 4,000 cases made.

Grgich Hills Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown 2003
Score: 94 Wine & Spirits
Surprisingly elegant for a 2003, this melds bright raspberry flavor with darker tones of savory black olives and freshly turned earth. The fruit character is beautifully floral, clean and fresh, a crush of berry flavor held in tense suspension with the tannin, so finely integrated that it's the fresh impression that lasts. Lovely to drink now with a roast leg of lamb, this will only get better with age.
Antinori Tignanello 2004
Score: 95 Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast Number 4 out of 100 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2007
The 2004 Tignanello (85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc) presents a livelier shade of ruby along with fresher aromatics and flavors. Deeply expressive, it reveals black cherries, licorice, tar and sweet toasted oak on a linear, silky-textured frame of great class and elegance, showing outstanding presence on the palate and fine tannins to round out the finish.

Generous aroma of freshly-picked cherries mingled with notes of sour cherries, vanilla and an agreeable trace of spiciness. Dry, full-bodied and amply structured; cherries, red berries and a hint of vanilla lead into a dazzling finish that recalls walnuts and hazelnuts.
Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape 2005
Score: 96 Wine Spectator Number 8 out of 100 in Wine Spectator Top 100 for 2008
The thirteen grape varieties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation with a strong percentage of Mourvèdre and Grenache (30% each), Syrah 10%, Counoise 10% Cinsault 5% and the rest divided up amongst the remaining grape varieties: Vaccarèse, Terret noir, Muscardin, Picpoul, Picardan, Bourboulenc, Roussanne. The long, dense finish has a great tug of iron buried within it. Best from 2011 through 2030. 15,000 cases made.
